About the Event
We are welcoming the public to sign up and join us to celebrate our new (new to us) 42' Catalina MK II and to join us in the official ceremony to change her name! We will hold tours on the vessel, and hear from supporters to make this a reality.
Changing the name of a vessel is taken seriously, and we will be following the strict guideline where we speak to the Winds: The North Wind, South Wind, East Wind and West Winds and ask Poseidon for permission and guidance and to watch over the vessel under her new name. We will unveil this new name during the ceremony.
We are starting our 3rd season here and our 1st season in Burlington, and we are looking forward to providing a lot of cancer mission sailing excursions for all folks who are undergoing treatment for cancer, and for those who have lost someone to cancer in the past 3 years. (Memorial Celebration of Life sails).
